Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a method for assembling a bearing in a cover element of a machine part, which is embodied at least in part in a rotationally symmetrical manner. In order to be able to mount the bearing in a simple and precise fashion, the inventive method comprises the following steps: a) the bearing is disposed on a reference surface of an assembly pin; b) at least one stop surface of the cover element is placed on and fastened to at least one reference surface of the assembly pin; c) the bearing is fixed inside the cover element on the support surface thereof in a position that is defined relative to the assembly pin; d) the cover element is removed from the assembly pin along with the bearing that is mounted therein; e) the cover element is mounted in the machine part together with the bearing that is mounted therein, the stop surface of the cover element being made to rest on a reference surface of the machine part.
