The invention discloses a system for implementing switching between PCI bus and G.Link bus, comprising network processor, kilomega Ethernet chip, converting chip and G.Link bus switching chip, where the network processor and kilomega Ethernet chip are both equipped with PIC bus interfaces and interconnected by PCI bus, kilomega Ethernet interface arranged on the kilomega Ethernet chip is connected with that on the converting chip, the converting chip can implement switching between kilomega Ethernet interface and G.Link bus interface, G.Link bus interface arranged on the converting chip is connected through G.Link bus with the G.Link bus switching chip. And the invention discloses a method for implementing switching between PCI bus and G.Link bus, able to reduce system required devices, and cost, and the structure is simplified and convenient to debugging.
