Zusammenfassung:The machine has a row of adjacent workstations (S1, S2, S3). Each has a winding spool (3) spindle (2), and a limiting mechanism (5) which confines the rotating thread balloon (6). The limiter (5) produces a rotating open loop (23) of the thread (P) as it is wound onto the spool. The loop has no other radial limitation imposed about the axis (A). Thread tension is controlled by the balance of forces between the winding pull at the spool, and the centrifugal force due to rotation. The novel feature is arrangement of the limiters (5) and their outlet ends (11) in different horizontal planes (R1, R2). - Spacing (a) between the horizontal planes (R1, R2) is 3-6 mm. Spacing (T) between the workstations (S1, S2, S3) is less than twice the maximum sweep radius (r) of any rotating thread loop (23).
