Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a device and a method for comparing calculations for product components used in different product types. According to the invention, a list (110) of product types, a list of parts (120) valid for all product types, a database (150) comprising descriptions of structural parts and a database (160) comprising calculations for the components is used. The descriptions and calculations relate to one component each on the list of parts (12) and are specific of one product type each. Once a component is input, all descriptions and calculations for said component are determined and compared with each other. Said comparison allows to find the technical reasons for the differences in the calculations for the same component in different product types.
