Electronic equipment provided with wiring board into which press-fit terminals are press-fitted

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press fit terminal press-fit into a through hole of a wiring substrate of an electronic control device used under high temperature environment inside an automobile and suppressing any damage of the wiring substrate caused by press-fitting when being press-fit to the through hole. SOLUTION: This press fit terminal P in which a body part, a holding part, an introducing part, and a tip part are unitedly formed by blanking a metallic plate is press-fit into the through hole installed in the wiring substrate, the holding part has a specified press-fitting margin to the through hole, elastic force converted to holding force when being press-fit into the through hole, and the introducing part is narrowly formed toward the tip. The elastic force is produced in the holding part and the introducing part and when being press-fit by an opening part long extended to the shaft direction center of the terminal. A cross section area (B-B) of the introducing part is made smaller than a cross section area (A-A) of the holding part, the elastic force of the introducing part is weakened than that of the holding part, and stress to the substrate in press-fitting into the through hole is decreased to suppress the generation of damage.
