The invention discloses an elevator or elevator relieving device, which is characterized by the following: at least a plurality of alternate coil assembly is installed in permanent magnetism drive motor; the alternate electric power supply power of alternate coil assembly makes the alternate coil assembly and base coil of permanent magnetism drive motor separate or act in conjunction; the delayed-elevating gear is installed; the chief axis sleeve of delayed-elevating gear installs immobilizing member; the spinning by one side of controlling device controlling the chief axis of delayed-elevating device makes the immobilizing member relieve brake equipment or spark electromagnetic contactors; which makes the elevator or elevator wagon lift and stop; the controlling device is handed by electromagnetic actuator or hand wrench grip which is fit for reset device of up-down tunnel every floor making the controlling device reset to reflex the relative relation between immobilizing member and brake equipment and electromagnetic contactors; making the wagon delayed-brake till stop is useful for the insiders to open the door to relieve easily.
