Zusammenfassung: | This invention relates to a double-size ceramic particle reinforced Al-based high temperature resistant composite. It has characteristics of comprising of carborundum particles, in-situ formed acerate dispersed Al4C3 particles and Al matrix. Dispersed Al4C3 particles possess a volume fraction of 3.7~14.8% and are 0.01~0.05ª–m in diameter and 0.1~0.4ª–m in length while carborundum particles possess a volume fraction of 5~25% and are 3.5~15ª–m in size. For preparation aluminium and graphite powders are high-energy ball milled for 1~3 hours, thermal processed at 550~650 deg.C for 1~2 hours and then high-energy ball milled with carborundum powders for 0.5~2 hours. The mixed powders are cold compressed into billet with an 85~95% theoretical density and then molded by extrusion. The composite material has a high strength, modulus and excellent high-temperature performances and is thus applicable in the fields requiring certain high-temperature properties. |
