Zusammenfassung:	A coating composition useful as a varnish coating and coated substrates coated therewith, the composition comprising an alkyd resin having a number average molecular weight of between about 500 and 2,000, and a polydispersity of less than about 2. The coating composition, after being rebaked, is substantially color stable. The coating composition is substantially flexible for use as a can container body varnish.
