Zusammenfassung:	A carbazole compound, polymeric or of low molecular weight, comprises a carbazole multimer unit of formula (I), wherein each carbazole unit may be unsubstituted or substituted with one or more substituents and n is larger than or equal to 2 for use in organic electroluminescent devices. The carbazole compounds provide facile hole-injection from a hole-injecting electrode and have a relatively triplet level enabling highly efficient electroluminescent devices to be obtained if combined with triplet emitter compounds.
