Zusammenfassung:	An opening and closing device and electronic equipment using the device. The stator and the rotor of the device, which are accommodated in the rotary case, have a hollow cylinder shape. Employing such a shape allows the device to have a hollow section that runs through in the axial direction. In electronic equipment using the device, the wiring section including a lead wire and a wiring board for electrically connecting between the fix housing and the movable housing can be laid through the hollow section. That is, the structure of the device can eliminate a space for retaining the wiring section, encouraging downsizing of the equipment.
