Zusammenfassung:	An apparatus positions a plate cylinder and a blanket cylinder in a transport position for assisting in transporting printing plates. The apparatus spaces the blanket cylinder and plate cylinder apart from one another such that a pressure acting on a printing plate during the printing operation is reduced in the transport position. Optionally, one of the cylinders can be replaced with an inking and/or damping roller.
