Zusammenfassung:	Disclosed is a device for reshaping bar-shaped electrically conductive and/or magnetizable materials particularly for drawing and extruding. Said device has the following characteristics: - the device comprises a matrix with a nozzle which forms the reshaping tool; - the device comprises an inductor of a linear electric motor, by means of which an electric traveling field can be generated; - said inductor encompasses at least one first group that is provided at least with first coils; - said first coils of the first group are disposed next to each other in an axial direction so as to form a duct; - a traveling field having a magnetic flux density with a gradient that extends in the axial direction of the duct and has an amplitude of more than B = 1 T. The invention also relates to a method for reshaping bar-shaped electrically conductive and/or magnetizable materials.
