Method and device for transmitting data

The invention relates to a method for transmitting data according to the preamble of claim 1, to a subscriber terminal, a computer program product and a communications system. The aim of the invention is to provide a subscriber terminal, a computer program product and a communications system that give a sender of data or a message additional options for the data transmission with a higher degree of flexibility for adapting an existing communications system, producing a more efficient message flow. To achieve this, an identification is carried out to define a selection of variants for delivering a message. The invention thus permits respective delivery variants to be dependent on the type and/or the length and other characteristics of a message.
