The present invention provides configuration device and method for electronic equipment containing processor. The method includes following steps: reading the information from the electronic equipment; judging the content to be configured based on the read information; and saving the content to be configured in configuration memory to configure the electronic equipment. The device includes memory for storing the configuration information and control program of the electronic equipment; read/write unit for reading the information of the electronic equipment; judging unit for judging the configured content of the electronic equipment via matching the electronic equipment information and the configured information based on the read information; and control unit for configuring the electronic equipment based on the stored information in the memory.
