Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a method of deionising and clarifying the aqueous medium used in an electrical discharge machine and the product used in said method. The aforementioned electrical discharge machines include a circuit for purifying said aqueous medium comprising a phase involving ion exchange between anionic and cationic resins with the aqueous dielectric medium, said medium having a conductivity of less than 40 mu S/cm. According to the invention, the following is added to the aqueous medium: a solution in distilled/deionised water of oxalic acid and phosphoric acid, in an approximate proportion of oxalic acid of between 0.18 and 0.035 moles and phosphoric acid of between 1.28 and 2.5 moles per litre of solution. The invention is suitable for use in electrical discharge machines.
