Zusammenfassung:	A process for preparing isopropylidene shikimic acid includes such steps as proportioning shikimic acid, acetone and p-tolysulfonic acid, reflux reaction for 1-2 hr, recovering acetone, adding water and ethyl acetate, dispatching, extracting 3-5 times by ethyl acetate, collecting liquid extract, dewatering by anhydrous Na2SO4, and recovering ethyl acetate to dry. The product can be used to prepare the medicine for treating cerebral thrombus, cerebral infarction and thrombosis.
