Improved method of preparing secnidazole
An improved process for preparing flagentyl (2-dimethyl-5-nitro-1H-imidazole-1-ethanol) as efficient antiamebic and antiprotozoal includes reaction of 2-dimethyl-5-nitro-imidazole and propane oxide under existance of lewis acid and searating. Its advantages are high purity and high output rate.
