Ethernet interchange controller with consol command logic unit

The invention relates to the Ethernet exchange controller possessing the console command logic unit. The intelligent type Ethernet exchange controller with lowest cost includes the serial port interface, the ASCII console being able to connect to outside. The user can input the character string command through the console, and the Ethernet exchange controller receives and interprets the command. When the command being as the reading command, the resultant response of executing the command is displayed on the console. The command is used to read data from or write data into the internal bufferin the Ethernet exchange controller, the internal bufferin PHY and the EEPROM set by the memory in order to further set the function of the exchange.
