Process for preparing superfine (nano) metal powder by hydrogen reduction of polyol

A process for preparing superfine (submicron-class or nanometre-class) spherical particles of metal (Ni, Co, Cu, Ag, Au, Pt, Pd, etc.) features high-pressure reaction where polyol is used as solvent and hydrogen gas is used as reducer. The said polyol can be recovered for cyclic use.
