Zusammenfassung:	An adaptive current-limiting regional control method for the motor of electric locomotive is disclosed, which can control the start and acceleration of motor. The motor can be switched between maximum and electricity-saving acceleration modes. In the maximum mode the working current of motor can be maximum at any time. When over-heat occurs, said current is reduced to a limited protecting value. In the electricity-saving acceleration mode, there are start, acceleration and maximal current-limiting regions.
