The method for automatically getting key characteristics of digital file includes the following steps: converting the digital file into regulation data structure, said structure incldues at least oneregulation element, then setting a combined regulation zone as vacuity state, and taking out these regulatino elements from regulation data structure in order, according to different conditions recombining these regulation elements and placing them into combined regulation zone of final regulation zone or directly giving up, then converting the combined regulation zone into regulation data structure, and repeatedly making said steps until the stopping condition is reached, finally displaying regulation element in final regulation zone according to display condition for searching key characteristics.
