An iodine-supplementing agent for food is prepared from persimmon fruit (20-70 wt.%), pueraria root (20-65 wt.%), yam (9-40 wt.%) and resurrection lily rhizome (1-6 wt.%). Its advantages are no damage to nutrients, no environmental pollution, high content of organoiodine, and low cost.
