Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a joining element (3) for joining two parts (1, 2) comprising a rubber-elastic support part (6) which is engaged with a profile strip (8) via engaging elements (81). In order to be able to transfer pressure or tensile forces in the same manner between the parts, the support part (6) is solely held on opposite edge areas (63) between slanted inner flanks (51, 52) of a support rail (4, 5). Engaging elements (81) of the profile rail (8) engage in receiving grooves (65) that are provided in the edge areas (63), whereby the free ends (82) of the engaging elements (81) vertically project in the area of activity of the inner flanks (51, 52).
