Zusammenfassung:	A laser writable composition (C1) comprises a polymeric laser light absorber dispersed in a matrix polymer and a reflector. The absorber comprises carbonizing particles containing core and shell. The core comprises a carbonizing polymer having a first functional group and the shell comprises a compatibilizing polymer having a second functional group that can react with the first functional group of the carbonizing polymer. Independent claims are included for the following: (a) a surface of the object provided with a laser writable layer containing (C1); and (b) latex containing (C1) in a dispersion medium (e.g. water).
