Method for purification of i(Borrelia) lipoprotein OSPA

The present invention provides a method for purification of Borrelia lipoprotein OspA suitable for human clinical use whereby a host cell expressing lipoprotein OspA is lysed in the presence of a zwitterionic detergent followed by several chromatographic steps in a nonionic detergent.
