Carbon steel material for band bridge tensioning shadow-mask and its shadow mask

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soft-steel stock for a tension mask having bridges which can cope with the problems of hole-shape defect liable to occur due to fine pitch of a mask and reduction in strength due to thinning of the mask. SOLUTION: Segregation can be suppressed while increasing C concentration in the composition of the soft-steel stock for the tension mask with bridges. This composition consists of >0.015 to 0.060% C and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities including S and P and accompanying elements including Si, sol.Al and Mn (where the amounts of Si, sol.Al, Mn, S and P are made to, by mass, ≤0.03%, 0.01 to 0.1%, 0.05 to 0.5%, ≤0.03% and ≤0.05%, respectively).
