Zusammenfassung:	A disk loading apparatus is provided for a disk drive. The disk loading apparatus includes a tray rotated with respect to a main base to perform disk loading and unloading operations. The tray is provided with a center of rotation at one side of the main body. A driving motor for driving the tray is provided on one side of the main base, and power from the driving motor is transmitted through a power transmission unit to rack gear formed on a bottom surface of the tray. The rack gear is in the form of an arc with a predetermined radius of curvature. With a disk loading apparatus so constructed, the size of the tray can be minimized and the disk drive as a whole can be miniaturized.
