The invention relates to the technical field of booster pumps, and provides a carbon dioxide pump and an application method thereof.The carbon dioxide pump comprises a pump head, a piston cylinder, a piston head, a piston rod and a control valve; the piston cylinder is fixed in the pump head in a sealed mode, and a low-temperature cavity is defined by the outer wall of the piston cylinder and the pump head. The piston head slides in the piston cylinder in a sealed mode. The piston rod is fixedly arranged at the end, away from the liquid inlet hole, of the piston head. The control valve comprises a temperature control valve, a pressure valve and a one-way valve, and the low-temperature cavity is communicated with the liquid inlet hole through the temperature control valve and communicated with the liquid outlet hole through the pressure valve.
