The data migration method can be used for the data migration system, and the data migration system comprises a migration module, a cache module and a storage interface module. The storage interface module receives a data operation request from an application, sends the data operation request to a source storage instance, and caches the data operation request to the cache module. And the migration module migrates the data in the source storage instance to the target storage instance, and sends the data operation request in the cache module to the target storage instance. And the storage interface module stops sending the new data operation request to the source storage instance and sends the new data operation request to the target storage instance. By means of the method, the data in the source storage instance can be migrated to the target storage instance under the condition that the application is not interrupted.
