Zusammenfassung: | Systems and methods for facilitating localized treatment of tissue within a body are disclosed. In some example embodiments, infrared laser pulses are locally delivered through an optical fiber to a target tissue region in the body, and provided with pulse conditions adapted to cause local tissue destruction and liquefaction, resulting in fine tissue destruction, tissue homogenization, and removal of vasculature and interstitial fluid channels, such as tissue destruction and liquefaction. And enabling the distal tip of the optical fiber to enter a target tissue region along a preferred surgical path without significant tissue deformation and damage. When the optical fiber emitting such pulses is used to penetrate tumor tissue, the resulting reduction in interstitial fluid pressure facilitates subsequent injection of the drug into the tumor, so that the drug can remain confined within the tumor with reduced diffusion. Integrated optical and fluid delivery devices may be used for tumor destruction and subsequen |
