The method comprises the following steps: in response to detection of a fault of the wind turbine generator, obtaining a current quadrature-axis component current of a stator current of a generator in the wind turbine generator on a quadrature axis, and a current equivalent resistance of a controlled current amplitude limiter in the wind turbine generator; determining the current direct current side voltage of the controlled current amplitude limiter based on the quadrature-axis component current and the equivalent resistance; matching the direct current side voltage with a preset voltage range to obtain a voltage matching result; and based on the voltage matching result and the quadrature-axis component current, controlling the wind turbine generator to carry out fault ride-through.
