Zusammenfassung: | Systems and methods are provided for constructing, using, and updating sparse maps for autonomous vehicle navigation. In one embodiment, there is provided a navigation system for providing a map to an autonomous vehicle, the system comprising: a processor; and a memory device including instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to maintain a map including a target trajectory of the autonomous vehicle, the target trajectory including a three-dimensional spline representing a path of travel of the autonomous vehicle, wherein the driving path is constructed by a plurality of driving paths from other autonomous vehicles; determining the presence of a non-transitory condition that does not coincide with the target trajectory of the map based on an analysis of image data from a camera integrated with the autonomous vehicle; and updating the map.
