Zusammenfassung: | The invention discloses foveal region processing for artificial reality devices. In one embodiment, a computing system may determine a gaze of a user of the computing system. The computing system may generate a foveal map based on the gaze to determine a sensor readout of an image sensor of the computing system. The dimple pattern may include several dimple regions. The computing system may determine a sensor readout corresponding to the image sensor based on the number of foveal regions, the sensor readout comprising a number of partitions. For each of the several partitions, the respective partition may indicate a readout resolution of a region of the image sensor. The computing system may acquire a first image using the image sensor. The computing system may generate a modified first image based on the acquired first image and the sensor readout.
