Zusammenfassung:	The invention discloses a spacer for a load carrier mountable on a vehicle. The spacer includes a carrier side fastening unit configured to be placed on and locked with a support portion of the load carrier. The fastening unit is configured to receive the support portion and is configured to be convertible between a locked configuration, in which the fastening unit is non-removably secured to the support portion, and an unlocked configuration, in which the fastening unit is mountable to and detachable from the support portion.
