The refining method comprises the following steps: S1, dissolving; s2, adjusting the pH value; s3, filtering is carried out; s4, removing impurities; s5, pulping; and S6, separating and drying. The method has the advantages that aluminum in the aluminum-fluorine-containing crude lithium carbonate is reasonably utilized, after the crude lithium carbonate is dissolved with acid, part of fluorine is precipitated into cryolite (Na3AlF6), then the alkaline solution is added, excessive aluminum generates active aluminum hydroxide which has a very strong adsorption effect on fluorine, the fluorine removal effect is achieved, then filtering and washing are conducted, aluminum-fluorine residues are separated out, and the aluminum-fluorine-containing crude lithium carbonate is obtained.
