By inhibiting the expression of the DHD6 gene in rice or constructing a defective plant of the DHD6 gene, a rice plant with rice blast resistance can be obtained. The CDS sequence of the DHD6 gene is as shown in SEQ ID NO: 1, or the sequence of the protein coded by the DHD6 gene is as shown in SEQ ID NO: 2. Rice plants with improved rice blast resistance can be identified by detecting the function deficiency of the DHD6 gene. The invention also provides a mutated DHD6 gene, and the CDS sequence of the mutated DHD6 gene is as shown in SEQ ID NO: 3, or the sequence of the protein coded by the mutated DHD6 gene is as shown in SEQ ID NO: 4.
