Workflow for efficient parameterized numerical control devices

The invention relates to a parameterization method, a computer program and a calculator for a numerical control device. In normal operation, the numerical control device iteratively accelerates a spindle of a machine tool controlled by the numerical control device during an acceleration time by means of a spindle drive and machines a workpiece during a machining time by means of a tool held in the spindle, the spindle drive rotates the tool at an operating speed during the machining time and loads the tool with a process torque. The spindle drive has a drive motor supplied with current through a converter of the spindle drive such that the spindle drive generates a torque. Before the normal operation is carried out, a limit value to be followed by the numerical control device and the spindle drive during the process of the workflow is derived in a calculator coupled to the numerical control device, and the limit value is transmitted by the calculator to the numerical control device and the converter.
