Zusammenfassung:The invention provides a tripod type constant velocity universal joint which can stabilize the position of a retainer ring in the axial direction of a foot shaft in an annular groove without worsening the assembling property of the retainer ring in the annular groove, and can manage a gap between an outer washer and a roller pin with high precision. A retainer ring (14) for restricting the movement of the outer washer (12) toward the shaft end side of the foot shaft is attached to an annular groove (11) formed in the outer peripheral surface of the foot shaft (8) of the tripod member (5). The retainer ring (14) is pressed against the annular groove (11) by the elastic force of the retainer ring (14).
