METHOD FOR PRODUCING LIQUID CRYSTAL RESIN

The present invention is a method for producing a liquid crystalline resin. [Problem] To provide a method for producing a liquid crystalline resin, the reaction rate of which is higher than that of conventional methods. [Solution] A method for producing a liquid crystalline resin, the method comprises the following steps: in the presence of a first metal compound containing at least one of more than one metal atoms (a) selected from group 3 of the periodic table, and a second metal compound containing at least one of more than one metal atoms (b) selected from the group consisting of alkali metals, alkaline earth metals and magnesium, reacting the first metal compound with the second metal compound to obtain a second metal compound containing at least one of more than one metal atoms (b) selected from the group consisting of alkali metals, alkaline earth metals and magnesium; a starting material monomer containing at least one selected from the group consisting of an aromatic hydroxycarboxylic acid and a deri
