The invention provides an underground hydrogen storage warehouse and a construction method thereof.The construction method includes the steps that firstly, the size and arrangement scheme of hydrogen storage caverns are calculated and determined according to warehouse construction scale and land acquisition area, process vertical shafts are arranged on the two sides of each hydrogen storage cavern, tank wall structures are arranged on the inner walls of the hydrogen storage caverns, and the middles of the hydrogen storage caverns are connected through connecting roadways; each group of hydrogen storage caverns are separated into independent caverns by adopting a roadway sealing plug and a vertical shaft sealing plug; then calculating the cavern burial depth for preventing and controlling the ground upheaval by combining geological exploration data; then, the arrangement scheme of the hydrogen storage cavern is perfected, and a construction roadway is arranged to serve as a transportation channel for excavatio
