Computer mouse with switch based on non-impact magnet

In one aspect, a switch (400, 460, 500) includes: a deflector plate (515) having a movable portion; a first magnet (505) coupled on the movable portion of the deflector plate (515) and translatable along a predetermined path (578); a second magnet (520) disposed proximate the predetermined path (578) such that at least a portion of a magnetic field of the second magnet (520) extends into an intermediate portion of the predetermined path (578), where the first magnet (505) has first and second poles (507, 506) and the second magnet (520) has third and fourth poles (521, 523), the third pole (521) facing the first pole (507) and the fourth pole (523) facing away from the first pole (507), the distance from the first pole (507) to the third pole (521) is smaller than the distance from the first pole (507) to the fourth pole (523), and the polarity of the first pole (507) is the same as the polarity of the third
