Water-absorbing material, water recovery device, and water recovery method

Provided is a water-absorbing material suitable for extracting liquid water from a gas or a liquid containing water, particularly the atmosphere. This water-absorbing material is provided with: a compound A in which the affinity with water reversibly changes due to an external stimulus; and a compound B having hygroscopicity. At least one selected from the group consisting of compounds A and compounds B is a low-molecular-weight compound. The method for recovering water according to the present invention comprises: bringing the water-absorbing material into contact with a gas or liquid containing water, and trapping water in the water-absorbing material; and applying a stimulus to the water-absorbing material from the outside, and taking out the liquid water from the water-absorbing material. 本发明提供适于从包含水的气体或液体特别是大气取出液体的水的吸水材料。本发明的吸水材料具备与水的亲和性因来自外部的刺激而可逆地变化的化合物A、和具有吸湿性的化合物B。选自由化合物A及化合物B组成的组中的至少1者为低分子化合物。本发明的水的回收方法包括：使上述吸水材料与包含水的气体或液体接触，将水捕获至吸水材料；和从外部对吸水材料施加刺激，从吸水材料取出液体的水。
