Zusammenfassung: | Embodiments of the invention provide amperometric analyte sensors with optimized elements, such as interference suppression membranes, and methods for making and using such sensors. The amperometric analyte sensor device includes: a substrate layer; a conductive layer disposed on the base layer and including a working electrode; an interference suppression film disposed on the electroactive surface of the working electrode, where the interference suppression film comprises a silica polymer; and an analyte sensing layer. Although embodiments of the invention may be used in a variety of situations, typical embodiments of the invention include glucose sensors for managing diabetes.
