The embodiment of the invention provides an information display method and device, equipment and a storage medium. The method includes determining a receiving interval of characters based on a received first data packet including at least one character, the receiving interval indicating time consumed for receiving a single character; determining a reference display interval for the to-be-displayed characters based on the receiving interval and the number of the to-be-displayed characters in the first data packet, the reference display interval indicating time consumed for displaying a single character; and displaying at least a part of the characters to be displayed based on the reference display interval.
