Dual-mode modulator

The invention provides a dual-mode modulator, and the modulator comprises a beam splitting module which is used for equally dividing light in a TE0 mode and light in a TE1 mode into two beams; the modulation module is composed of a modulation arm and a thermal modulation waveguide, the modulation arm is used for carrying out phase modulation on each beam of light after beam splitting, and phases of all beams of light after modulation are different; the thermal tuning waveguide is used for changing the phase difference between the modulated light beams; and the beam combining module is used for combining the light output by the modulation module to obtain a first light beam and a second light beam, the first light beam is light in a TE1 mode and carrying signals, and the second light beam is light in a TE0 mode and carrying signals.
