A semiconductor device includes: a substrate including a cell active region; a word line located on the cell active region; a bit line electrically connected to the cell active region; the connection structure is located in the word line; and a word line contact plug which is in contact with the connection structure. The word line may include a gate electrode, and the connection structure may be disposed on the gate electrode.
