The invention provides nano barium stannate-based powder, the chemical composition of which is Ba (1-x) MxSnO3, M comprises Sr or La, and x is any numerical value from 0 to 0.25. The nano barium stannate-based powder provided by the invention is broadband gap ceramic powder with a perovskite type structure, has very high carrier mobility at normal temperature, has far infrared radiance greater than or equal to 0.6 at a specific infrared band (8-14 microns at normal temperature), and has excellent far infrared emission performance; moreover, by introducing Sr ions or La ions into the parent phase BaSnO3, the lattice distortion of BaSnO3 is increased, and the far-infrared radiative infrared emissivity of the nano barium stannate-based powder at the waveband of 8-14 microns at normal temperature is further improved.
