Systems, devices, and methods for triggering intraoperative nerve monitoring in robot-assisted medical procedures

A system includes a neural monitoring system configured to generate neural data regarding a state of a nerve of a patient during a surgical procedure for the patient. The system includes a robotic system configured to receive or generate location data for a surgical procedure, the location data identifying a location of a nerve of a patient. The robotic system is capable of placing the neural monitoring system in an active state or an inactive state based on the location data, where the active state is a state where the neural monitoring system provides neural data to the robotic system, and the inactive state is a state where the neural monitoring system does not provide neural data to the robotic system.
