Zusammenfassung:	The present disclosure provides compositions and methods for improving cognitive function and/or alertness in a human. In one embodiment, a method comprises: administering an edible composition to a person in need of an ameliorated condition, where the composition comprises: caffeine and/or a derivative thereof; and polyphenols, wherein the weight ratio of total polyphenols to total caffeine of the composition is from about 1: 10 to about 10: 1.
