Zusammenfassung: | In general, various aspects of the present disclosure relate to wireless communications. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may identify that a radio resource control connection is to be established for an evolved packet system fallback or inter-radio access technology fallback from a new radio for a voice call. The UE may determine that an establishment cause received from a network access layer (NAS) layer does not indicate high priority access. The UE may cover the setup cause based at least in part on a determination that the setup cause received from the NAS layer does not indicate high priority access, such that the setup cause indicates a mobile originating (MO) voice call. The UE may perform an access barring check for the MO voice call based at least in part on the coverage establishment cause such that the establishment cause indicates the MO voice call. Numerous other aspects are provided.
